Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data VisRank (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and how you can control it. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
VisRank is a website visibility audit tool operated by Andrei Mironiuk, based in Auckland, New Zealand. Contact: general@visrank.org.
2. Data we collect
2a. Scan data (anonymous use)
When you run a free scan without logging in, we store:
- The URL you submitted
- Scan results (scores, issues, metadata fetched from the target site)
- Timestamp and a random scan ID
We do not store your IP address or browser fingerprint against scan results.
2b. Account data (registered users)
If you create an account, we additionally store:
- Email address (for login and notifications)
- Subscription status (free / report / monitoring)
- Scan history linked to your account
- Competitor URLs and alert settings you configure
2c. Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers. Stripe shares a customer ID and payment status with us after a successful transaction.
2d. Analytics and advertising measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how VisRank is used, Google Ads to measure whether advertising leads to a Full Report or Monitoring subscription purchase, and the OpenAI Ads Pixel to measure campaign-related subscription events.
These services may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, referrer, cookie or other online identifiers, and interaction or conversion events. For a successful Full Report purchase or Monitoring subscription, we send a conversion event. Full Report conversion events may include a Stripe Checkout session ID as a transaction ID for duplicate prevention. We do not include payment card details, account email addresses, or scan contents in the advertising conversion events configured on VisRank.
3. How we use your data
- To display your audit results and history
- To send Monitoring emails for score drops, AI visibility problems, weekly briefs, and report updates you opted to receive
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To improve VisRank by analysing aggregate usage patterns
- To measure advertising performance and attribute Full Report and Monitoring subscription conversions
- To respond to support enquiries
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers for the purposes described in this policy, including analytics and advertising measurement. We do not use scan contents to create advertising profiles.

These providers process data under their own privacy terms and may process it outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Their privacy practices and retention periods are controlled by the relevant provider.
5. Data retention
- Anonymous scans - retained for 90 days, then deleted
- Account data - retained while your account is active
- Deleted accounts - all data removed within 30 days of account deletion
6. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent for email notifications (unsubscribe link in every email)

7. Cookies
We use essential technologies for authentication and security, plus analytics and advertising measurement technologies provided by Google and OpenAI. These may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar online identifiers to understand site usage and attribute subscription conversions.
You can limit these technologies through your browser's cookie and privacy settings or by using a content blocker. Blocking analytics or advertising measurement should not prevent you from running a scan or using your VisRank account, although some measurement may no longer work.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of VisRank after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
