Terms of Service

1. The Service

VisRank is a website visibility audit tool that analyses publicly accessible websites and returns SEO, AEO, security, and local search scores. The free scan tier requires no account. Paid tiers (detailed reports and monitoring) require registration and payment via Stripe.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit URLs you do not own or have authorisation to audit
• Use the Service to scrape, reverse-engineer, or reproduce our scoring methodology at scale
• Attempt to overload our servers through automated bulk scanning
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Scans are rate-limited. Repeated abuse may result in IP restriction or account termination.

3. Accuracy of results

VisRank scan results are informational only. Scores are based on technical signals detectable from a public HTTP request. They do not constitute professional SEO advice and may not reflect your actual Google or Bing ranking factors. We recommend verifying critical issues with a qualified SEO professional.

We make reasonable efforts to keep our checks accurate as search engine guidelines change, but we do not warrant that results are complete, error-free, or current at any specific moment.

4. Paid plans

• One-time report: Charged once. Grants access to the full detailed audit report for the scanned URL. Non-refundable after the report is accessed.
• Monitoring subscription: Billed monthly. Cancel any time via your dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in NZD unless stated otherwise.

5. Refund policy

If you experience a technical failure that prevented you from accessing a paid report, contact us within 7 days at general@visrank.org and we will issue a full refund. We do not offer refunds for subscription months already used.

6. Intellectual property

All content, branding, scoring algorithms, and software comprising VisRank are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our methodology, scoring data, or UI without written permission.

Scan results for your own website are yours to use freely.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, VisRank is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of or reliance on scan results.

8. Privacy

Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Auckland, New Zealand.
